ONE star is for the leaving out such OBVIOUS details from the description of an item.
WHAT is the diameter of the actual square post (do not include the 3tier cap under the arm or the cap on top of the post).
HOW LONG is ONLY the portion of the arm that the mailbox sits on? (do not include the part of the arm sticking out the backside of the post or the part of the arm that the post goes through)

Installed a Classica mailbox post on 6/24/20. Impressed by the “no-dig” concept, appearance of the post, and the leveling system (donuts). Didn’t really want a newspaper slot, but that’s OK. Directions could be improved. Top donut was labeled to be removed before driving the pipe into the ground, however, mine could not be removed due to a top cap welded onto the pipe. Not a big deal; I simply dropped the top donut down to the lower donut. Also, my level is 28” long making it difficult to get an accurate reading, unless the donuts are in the exact same positions, spread apart and used to rest the level on to assure a close level while driving in the pipe. I would like a more sturdy post, which is not a deal-breaker if it stays the way it is now and does not become shakier over time. Finally, it was somewhat difficult to mount a mailbox without points of screws or bolts sticking through either the mailbox or the newspaper slot. I used a universal mailbox mounting block to avoid that.
I purchased the Classica mailbox post in September 2017. I had just purchased a house in the country and I needed a mailbox ASAP, as the Mail-Lady said there was something living in the old one and she wasn’t sticking her hand in there! I investigated and found the entire wooden post covered in Carpenter Ants!
So I wanted something that was wood free! After surfing the net for several days, I discovered Zippity-Outdoor! They had exactly what I wanted! All steel and plastic! Zippity sent it right out, and I had that post installed lickety-split! Or is that Zippity-split? The leveling system is fantastic by the way!
Finally, in the middle of winter, a snowmobiler drove right into the mailbox, apparently he didn’t notice the reflectors on my new post. Anyway, the mailbox must have spun around on the post once or twice, as I had mail laying in the road, the yard, and everywhere in between! Now the post was crooked! No problem, I lifted the plastic post off of the steel post, releveled it, put the post back on and now it was straight again & was just like new! And know Carpenter Ants in sight!
I am giving this product 5 stars!
