I chose this fence due to its simple yet beautiful design. The design also allowed for me to install small 4 ft angle rods in the vertical posts to add additional strength to the fence. It works great for my two small dogs. I really love this fence!

We live in a desert. Because of city water restrictions and the price of water we can afford only small lawns. Our back lawn is a little less than 300 sq ft. We also have two dogs, one large and one medium size, who stay in the back yard. Their urine, concentrated in such a small area, was killing the grass. We considered various solutions but settled on building a Baskenridge fence around the back lawn to keep the dogs out. We live in the foothills of some mountains. The topsoil is only about three to four inches deep, and under that is rock. Also under the soil are lots of tree roots and a sprinkler system. I could not just push the posts into the soil. I had to dig post holes and work around sprinkler pipes and roots. I dug up buckets of rocks. I am not handy but with enough time I figured out how to assemble the first fence panel, and after that it was just repetition. Assembling the gate was much trickier and requires a power drill, but Zippity supplies the drill bit. Installation of the fence panels was simple but fitting the gate was difficult. My wife and I never could get it just right, and the latch proved shorter than what we needed, so we augmented it with a piece of cord. Instead of the joiner clips that come with the product I opted for white 18-inch zip ties. They seem to do the job for now, and if they fail in a few months I can always follow up with the joiner clips. So, did it work? Yes, it did! Neither the big dog, about 60 pounds, nor the smaller, about 45 pounds, even tried to push down the fence or jump over it. They simply moved their bathroom to the river rock, which was what we wanted. Mission accomplished.

I purchased these for our backyard to keep our two small dogs in. It works great and looks fantastic! I have multiple sclerosis and I was able to install it relatively easy. Highly recommended!
