¼" x 4" Hex Head Bolt w/ Nut and Washer (8)

2" x 6" Wood Support (1)

½" to 1" Hex Head Steel Tek Screw (2)

¼" x 3" Concrete Wedge Anchor (8)

¼" Hex Bolt (8)

¼" Washer (8)

Step 2A.1

Position the surface mount (A) at the desired location and mark the four anchor hole positions on the concrete.

Step 2A.2

Using a hammer drill and masonry bit, drill four ¼" diameter holes 3" deep through the concrete.

Insert a ¼" x 3" concrete wedge anchor into each hole.

Step 2A.3

Place the surface mount (A) over the four anchor bolts. Check for level. If the concrete surface is uneven, shim the base plate with washers as needed until level.

Step 2A.4

Once level, place a washer and nut onto each exposed bolt and tighten one by one with a wrench. Do not overtighten.

Step 2B.1

Position the surface mount (A) at the desired location and mark the four bolt hole positions on the deck.

Step 2B.2

Measure the distance between the joists beneath the marked location and fasten the 2" x 6" wood support directly below the surface mount position to provide additional structural support.

Step 2B.3

Drill four ¼" diameter holes through the deck and wood support, aligned with the marked bolt hole positions.

Step 2B.4

Place the surface mount (A) over the drilled holes and check for level.

If the deck surface is uneven, shim the base plate with washers as needed until level.

Step 2B.5

Once level, insert a ¼" x 4" hex head bolt through each hole and secure with a washer and nut.

Tighten one by one with a wrench. Do not overtighten.

Place post and post cap over surface mount.

Note: Posts and post caps must be purchased separately.

Pre-drill (2) holes in the posts at the locations shown below. Drive (2) 1/2" to 1" hex head steel tek screws (not included) into the pre-drilled holes to secure the post.
