Step 1: Lay Out Materials
A — Post Cap (3)

B — Long Top Rail (1)

Step 2.1 Assemble First Panel

- Position the Long Top Rail (B) and Long Bottom Rail (D) as illustrated.
- Slide a Short Post (G) and the Tall Post (F) down through the large routed holes in the long top rail and long bottom rail until the predrilled holes in the posts and the pre-dilled holes in the rails are aligned.
- Note: Make sure you insert the tall post into the sides of the long top rail and long bottom rail with two pre-drilled holes.

- Note: Orient the bottom of the tall post and short post as illustrated.
Step 2.2

- Once all the pre-drilled holes are aligned, screw the long top rail and long bottom rail into both sides of the tall post and the short post with (8) ¾” Self-Drilling Stainless Steel Screws (I).
Step 3.1 Insert Pickets

- Pickets (H) are stamped 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 to create a scallop pattern.
- Insert the pickets in the pattern illustrated.
- Note: Once inserted, the pickets will lock into place. To remove the picket(s), gently insert a butter knife along the bottom of the picket as shown, and slowly pull up the picket(s).
Step 4.1 Assemble the Second Panel

- Position the Short Top Rail (C) and Short Bottom Rail (E) as illustrated.
- Slide a short post down through the large routed hole in the short top rail and short bottom rail until the pre-drilled holes in the posts and the pre-dilled holes in the rails are aligned.
Step 4.2

- Once all the predrilled holes are aligned, screw the short top rail and short bottom rail into both sides of the short post with (4) ¾” self-drilling stainless steel screws.
Step 5.1 Insert Pickets into Second Panel

- Pickets are stamped 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 to create a scallop pattern.
- Insert the pickets in the pattern illustrated.
- Note: Once inserted, the pickets will lock into place. To remove the picket(s), gently insert a butter knife along the bottom of the picket as shown and slowly pull up the picket(s).
Step 6.1 Fasten Panels Together

- It may be helpful to have a second person to bring the panels together.
Step 6.2

- Fasten the two panels together using the second pre-drilled holes in the long rails using (2) 2½” Self-Drilling Stainless Steel Screws (J).
Step 7.1 Install Fence Into the Ground

- Move fence to final location.
- Push posts into the ground using even downward pressure.
Step 7.2

Optional in hard ground:

- If your ground is too hard, or you have more than 3 or 4 panels to install, please consider these options:
- Use a 1¾” diameter auger bit (commonly used for planting tulips) as illustrated ($15-$20 on Amazon.com).
- Drill a hole about 12” to 16” deep at the desired location, and fill the holes with water as illustrated.
- Push the fence posts into the holes.
Step 7.3

- Loosen the top 4” of the ground with a claw hammer as illustrated.
- Add water to loosen soil.
- Use a block of wood to protect the top of the posts, and gently hammer each post into the ground equally.
Step 7.4

- Level the assembled fence, and backfill and compact dirt around the base of the posts to strengthen the fence if needed.
